The release of matric results is a momentous occasion for Grade 12 learners, marking the culmination of their years of hard work and dedication. As the 2023 matric results prepare for release, it is essential for learners to understand the various methods and platforms available to access their results. This comprehensive guide will outline the key aspects of the Matric Results 2023 Website, ensuring that learners are well-informed and prepared to navigate the process seamlessly.
The Official Matric Results 2023 Website
The official Matric Results 2023 Website serves as the primary source for accessing matric results. The website, hosted by the Department of Basic Education (DBE), provides a centralized platform for learners to retrieve their individual results. The website’s user-friendly interface and streamlined process make it easy for learners to access their results quickly and efficiently.
Accessing Results via the DBE Website
To access their matric results through the DBE website, learners will need to provide their examination number. This unique identifier can be found on the learner’s admission slip, which was issued at the time of registration for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations. Once the examination number is entered, the website will display the learner’s individual results, including their performance in each subject and their overall NSC status.
Alternative Methods for Obtaining Matric Results
In addition to the DBE website, learners have several alternative methods for obtaining their matric results. These methods include:
- SMS: Learners can send an SMS containing their ID number and examination number to 35658. A standard SMS fee applies.
- USSD: Learners can dial *120*45856# and follow the prompts to enter their ID number and examination number.
- Schools: Learners can collect their matric results from the schools where they wrote the NSC examinations.
- News24 Matric Results Portal: Learners can access their matric results through the News24 Matric Results Portal.
Important Dates and Considerations
The release date for the 2023 matric results is scheduled for January 19, 2024. Learners are advised to check their results on the DBE website or through one of the alternative methods on this date.
