Menzi, who is one of most notable actors in South Africa, is angered by social media posts joking about him dying. His wife called the pranks disrespectful and asking for them to stop.

Last week, a tweet emerged saying “Breaking: Menzi Ngubane peacefully passed by a gas station in Pretoria, June 7 2018…”

Some people didn’t notice that it was a joke, they won’t on both Twitter and Facebook to pay their tributes to Ngubane and his family. Other people were quick to notice that it was a joke and shared it with their friends.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Menzi’s wife Sikelelo Sishuba, told the publication that Ngubane was not impressed.

“He is well and very much alive. He has seen the posts and doesn’t think they are funny. He’s not happy and isn’t taking it lightly. It (death) isn’t something to joke about. What if someone thought he was actually dead?”

Sikelelo also added that the prank was annoying and disrespectful but they were not planning to take any action against the accounts spreading the joke.

“What can we do? What will taking action do? We just have to roll with the punches,” she told TshisaLIVE.
