Sharing a date with his birthday, the project outlines all facets of the artist and show that his skill level is a cut above the rest.

The project is solely produced by east rand hitmaker Blass and their chemistry is evident for all to see. The highlights of the project are ‘’Get It’’ which includes the sole feature of this project, Pebbles and ‘Íts My House’ which is the official second single.

ShabZi Madallion, real name Leshabe Mpho Rampedi, is a hip hop artist based in South Africa’s economic and cultural hub Johannesburg. He was born in the province of KwaZulu-Natal with his roots anchored in the picturesque Limpopo province.

ShabZi began his musical career in 2003 and has since continued, his artistry stretches far beyond just music, he also engineers, mixes and masters his own records and is slowly entering the acting space with a couple appearances on Supersport and KFC commercials. On stage, he’s an electrifying performer who is able to weave music, dance and the spoken word into an unforgettable experience, with Back 2 The City 2017 being the biggest stage that he has graced thus far.

It’s been a little over a year since D.EE XCLSV exploded on to our TV screens with his impressive run on hip hop talent competition, Vuzu Hustle. Since then, Dee has released his hit debut single Flex Life ft. Kwesta and worked with the likes of DJ Switch and Maraza.

#TwoHoursFromGPark is his first solo project and will be the first big SA hip hop project of the year. This project comes off the back of the Flex Life video being playlisted on all major TV channels across the country.

As you may remember, Dee was recently one of the top 5 contestants on the popular hip hop competition, #VuzuHustle. Dee followed up his memorable showing on Vuzu Hustle by releasing a YouTube clip titled, I’ll Drop Dead Before I Drop A Wack Verse. The video was in response to Dee’s dramatic exit after he’d left the show due to his not having a verse ready for a challenge. Fans hailed this video as a brilliant comeback.

Nhlanhla Gumede who goes by the stage name Franky Nutz is a recording artist, song writer and music Producer and from eMbalenhle in the South African province of Mpumalanga. Having grown in a musical family, his passion for music and performance started at an early age. As a young boy Franky performed on numerous platforms as a member of his high school music group, Ghetto Poets.

After a few hurdles and life challenges, Franky registered a holdings company under the name Duffel Bag Group (DBG) which would be an umbrella company to various entrepreneurial and community development projects. DBG is now home to an assembly of young gifted Mpumalanga performing artists.

Fast forward to a more promising future in the attempt to break through to the music main stream Franky Nutz together with his friend Nkululeko Nkosi, commonly known as “Kin Timo”, started working on music for his debut E.P “Uzong’khona” which was released on iTunes in April 2016.

Singer and activist Thandiswa Mazwai will be hosting ‘King Tha Day’ on her birthday in Newtown, Johannesburg.

Thandiswa, who is best known as King Tha is turning 42-years-old on the 31st of March and she wants to be surrounded by all her sisters to celebrate her birthday with her at the Newtown Music Factory.

“I’m inviting my sisters to a women only gig on my birthday in celebration of their resilience and strength. It is an attempt to strengthen the sisterhood and together imagine new worlds. We will come together in one space to celebrate our unique power,” said Thandiswa Mazwai.

King Tha is bringing together some of the most powerful and inspirational women in South African media to inspire her all-female get-together.

The line-up of speakers is made up of author and Professor, Pumla Dineo Gqola, lesbian activist and filmmaker, Bev Ditsie, and Mail & Guardian Arts Editor, Milisuthando Bongela.
