It’s the perfect time of the year to relax, kick back and enjoy everything the holiday season has to offer. Spending ample time with the kids  has finally arrived, and the last thing you want to worry about is keeping your family entertained. Wondering how you can keep everyone entertained during this merry time? Fear not! Netflix has you sorted with a sleigh full of family-friendly series and movies that’ll make your holiday hangouts a blast.

Can’t decide what to watch with the family? Why not try the extensive, curated collection entitled A Cozy Kind of Holiday, featuring titles across genres and formats from animation for the kids and young at heart to holiday romance, comedies, holiday cooking and baking, and all sorts of festive family fun.

For the kids, their holiday viewing can be set with the likes of Supa Team 4 Season 2 (releasing on 21 December), hit animated film Leo, a holiday adventure with Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget and the upcoming fun-filled Pokemon Concierge (releasing on 28 December).

Every family is different.  It’s why we’ve invested in a wide variety of kids and family films and TV shows from all over the world – including award winning animated films and series like The Sea BeastVivoThe Magician’s ElephantJurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.

To manage screen time and ensure supervision, parents can take charge with nifty controls that let you curate an inclusive viewing experience. To do this, simply go to your account settings on your Netflix mobile of laptop: You can then proceed to:

  • PIN protect individual profiles to prevent kids from using them;
  • Tailor content based on age ratings. We’ve built these filters using country ratings so they are more intuitive;
  • Remove individual series or films from a profile by title.  When this filter is used, the blocked title(s) won’t show up anywhere in that profile;
  • Easily review each profile’s setting using the “Profile and Parental Controls” hub within account settings;
  • See what your kids have been watching within the profile created for them; and
  • Turn off auto play of episodes in kids profiles

Choice and control have always been important for our members, especially parents. It’s your ultimate toolkit for ensuring a joyous viewing time for the whole family.

We hope that these controls will continue to help parents make the right choices for their families, not only during the holiday season but all year round.
