Local celebrity Nomzamo Mbatha seems to be having a blast in New York City. On Tuesday night, the actress visited the NYC Ballet Costume House while in the Big Apple. The NYC Ballet is the only ballet company in the world to have their own costume department.
According to DRUM, this is accompanied by a costume shop and according to their site, the shop is “responsible for creating and maintaining a wealth of imagination that has been translated into fabric, thread, buttons, ribbons and, of course, feathers.”
Each year, the costume shop works in collaboration with renowned fashion designers to create the costumes for new ballets.
Mbatha got to check out the dye room, with the actress overwhelmed by the different colour palletes.
