Onkgopotse JJ Tabane, commonly known as JJ Tabane, is a South African journalist, media personality, and political commentator. He was born on July 30, 1964, in the township of Lichtenburg in the North West Province of South Africa.
Tabane completed his primary and secondary education in Lichtenburg, before going on to study journalism at Rhodes University in Grahamstown. After completing his studies, he worked as a journalist for a number of South African media outlets, including The Sunday Times, The Sowetan, and The Star.
Dr Onkgopotse JJ Tabane holds a PHD from Wits University. He also holds a BA,
BPROC and MA degrees from UNIN, UWC and NMMU.
