Record label Mabala Noise shuts down

Reggie Nkabinde and DJ Bongz’s record company Mabala Noise is said to be shutting down. According to Isolezwe, Reggie Nkabinde who is the founder and CEO of the company said he has handed the business to those who have been with the company since it’s inception.

The company assets are said to be liquidated after its owner Reggie dis-invests all his monies from it. He revealed that he officially left Mabala Noise in the first week of January but he was still busy with paperwork needed to hand over the business.

Co-founder Dj Bongz, Gigi Lamayne, Riky Rick and Nasty C have already left the company and Nasty C recently signed with Universal Music Group.

Reggie Nkabinde said he would be returning to full-time politics where he hopes to succeed ANC Youth League president Collen Maine

Du Boiz who is also part of the lable said he still regards himself as an employee and artist of the label. “As far as I know, I am still recording music in studio under Mabala Noise. “I’ve noted speculation from the public about its shutting down but I still perform and get paid so I cannot comment on executive decisions made by my bosses,” the Celebration hit maker said. The Durban-born rapper who has won awards with the company said: “I am just an employee, if they shut down they will let us know.”
