Sassa Grant Payment Dates for August 2023

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced the payment dates for August 2023. The following are the dates on which different types of SASSA grants will be paid:

Types of SASSA Grants

SASSA provides a number of different grants to South Africans in need. These grants are designed to help people meet their basic needs, such as food, shelter, and clothing. The following are some of the most common types of SASSA grants:

  • Older Persons/Pensioner’s Grant: This grant is paid to South Africans who are 60 years of age or older and who meet certain income and asset requirements.

How to Collect SASSA Grants

To collect a SASSA grant, you will need to apply for the grant and provide the required documentation. Once your application is approved, you will be issued a grant card or a bank card. You can then collect your grant at a SASSA paypoint or at an ATM.

You can also check your SASSA payment status online or by SMS. To check your payment status online, you will need your South African ID number and your SASSA PIN. To check your payment status by SMS, you will need to send an SMS to 32586 with the word “PAYMENT” and your ID number.
