Sassa R350 Grant Payment Date For 2022 December. There is no fixed payment dats for Sassa R350 grant payments in South Africa. SASSA beneficiaries can receive their SASSA payments from selected supermarkets, such as Pick n Pay, USave merchants, Boxer, Checkers and Shoprite, and receive grants through their SASSA card, CashSend, or by getting the money directly deposited into their bank account. SASSA has urged all R350 grant beneficiaries to select the bank account payment method as this would allow them to access their R350 grant from anywhere.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has been experiencing many delays in paying out the SASSA R350 grant payments to qualifying beneficiaries. Types of SASSA Grants And Amounts in South Africa

1. The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD Grant):

The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD Grant) is administered in terms of section 32 of the Social Assistance Act, 2004 (Act No. 13 of 2004) and is implemented with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance.

The SRD Grant is meant for South African Citizens, Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Special Permit Holders who are between the ages of 18 and 60 years, who have insufficient means, who do not receive social grants on behalf of herself/ himself or who are not contributing to or eligible for UIF payment, and have no financial support from any other source. 2. Child Support Grant:

The child support grant is aimed at lower-income households to assist parents with the costs of the basic needs of their child. The grant isn’t meant to replace other income but intended to bridge the gap in the cost of living.

If you’re the primary caregiver of a child (a parent, grandparent or anyone who’s mainly responsible to look after the child) you’ll need the following to qualify for a grant:

  • Be a South African citizen or have permanent residency.
  • Not earn more than R52 800 a year (R4 400 a month) if you’re single. If you’re married, your combined income shouldn’t be above R105 600 a year (R8 800 a month).

The child support grant is currently R480 per month per child. If you are a primary caregiver for an orphaned child, you will receive R720 per month for each child. To apply for child grant online, visit services.sassa.gov.za.

3. Foster Child Support:

A foster child is a child who has been placed in your custody by a court as a result of being: orphaned, abandoned, at risk, abused or neglected. You will get R1 070 per month per child. To apply for foster grant online, visit services.sassa.gov.za.

4. Care Dependency Grant:

5. Disability Grant:

If you have a physical or mental disability which makes you unfit to work for a period of longer than six months, you can apply for a disability grant. You get a permanent disability grant if your disability will continue for more than a year and a temporary disability grant if your disability will last for a continuous period of not less than six months and not more than 12 months. A permanent disability grant does not mean you will receive the grant for life, but that it will continue for longer than 12 months. The disability grant is R1 990 per month. 6. Pensioners Grant (Older Person’s Grant):

The Pensioners Grant, Old Age Pension or Older Person’s Grant is given to individuals who are older (60 years or plus) and can no longer work and earn a salary. The amount of the old person’s grant changes every year. Currently, the maximum amount that you’ll get is R1 990 per month. If you’re older than 75 years, you’ll get R2 010. Any changes in the grant amounts are reflected every year in the national budget speech or at the opening of Parliament. 7. Grant-In-Aid:

8. War Veteran’s Grant:

If you are a former soldier who fought in the Second World War (1939-1945) or the Korean War (1950-1953) and are unable to support yourself, you can apply for a war veteran’s grant. You will get R 2 010 per month.
