This year marks 4 years since the pageant of Miss Heritage SA has been celebrating South Africa’s diverse and beautiful culture.

Miss Heritage South Africa is an Annual South African beauty pageant which was founded in 2014 that aims to promote and pay respect to South Africa’s diversity in culture. The winner of the pageant represents her country at the Miss Heritage pageant. 

Theme for this year is “Different colours, one nation!” which aims to tell a unique South African story and promotes our values. The pageant will also be a celebration of the 100th year of Nelson Mandela.

“It would be amiss to not to honour the man that highly believed in culture and equality. He equally made it possible for us as a nation to be liberated in today’s South Africa,” CEO of Miss Heritage SA Palesa Mtjale

This year’s Miss Heritage event will be judged by famous faces, Sonia Sedibe, Vuyo Dabula and Nonhle Thema.

Nonhle Thema says Mandela didn’t spend years in prison for us to be drunkards

Nonhle Thema, best known for presenting the music shows O-Boma and O-Access, both on Channel O, has decided to stay away from alcohol. Nonhle, who was one of the most popular hot South African celebrities, says Nelson Mandela didn’t serve 27 years in jail for us to be drunkards.

“In the entertainment industry, you are surrounded by alcohol and it is hard to say no. It is seen as cool to drink and get drunk. I tell people that you don’t need alcohol to have a good time, it is a trap. Mandela didn’t go to jail for 27 years for us to be drunkards.”

Nonhle Thema starts her own training academy

Nonhle Thema Talent Coaching Academy

TV personality Nonhle Thema has announced that she will be starting her very own training academy where she will equip people, young and old, with the skills they need to make it, not only in the entertainment industry, but in business as well.

According to The Juice, Nonhle Thema’s company, Talent Coaching Academy, will offer prospective students. Through her company, the star will be teaching how to be a presenter, reading scripts, writing scripts and how to memorise scripts if you’re an actress. Her academy will also include other programs like make-up and image consulting classes.

Although Nonhle Thema’s background is in entertainment, the star says she will also offer courses that extend beyond the entertainment industry. “I’ve also catered for public speaking for women who are business owners and maybe just want to sharpen their skills.”
