Miss Heritage South Africa is an Annual South African beauty pageant which was founded in 2014 that aims to promote and pay respect to South Africa’s diversity in culture. The winner of the pageant represents her country at the Miss Heritage pageant.
Theme for this year is “Different colours, one nation!” which aims to tell a unique South African story and promotes our values. The pageant will also be a celebration of the 100th year of Nelson Mandela.
“It would be amiss to not to honour the man that highly believed in culture and equality. He equally made it possible for us as a nation to be liberated in today’s South Africa,” CEO of Miss Heritage SA Palesa Mtjale
This year’s Miss Heritage event will be judged by famous faces, Sonia Sedibe, Vuyo Dabula and Nonhle Thema.
The pageant consists of 14 finalists, who represent different cultures and will be interesting to see each and every one of them showcase their diversity in their cultures and more importantly what makes them African.
“As a South African company, we are very proud to be a part of such an important initiative – one that seeks to re-educate and re-emphasise the importance of heritage in our country, especially amongst young people,” DJ Kotin, who is one of the sponsors said.
The event will take place this coming weekend in the Free State province.
