Tbo Touch buys a restaurant in Brooklyn, New York

Born in Sharpeville in 1981 and raised by his grandparents Dr PF & Rose Ntombiyokuthula Molefe, Thabo Molefe, better known as Tbo Touch has implied that he may have bought a restaurant that he used to work in as a waiter in New York.

“In 2002 I quit my job as a waiter at a Restuarant in Brooklyn, New York. Last year October I took my Mom and sister for dinner and the owner was in tears of joy to see me. As a birthday gift 🎁 the same restaurant is about to be called “Mogodu”. Big moves underway #April4th (sic),” – Tbo Touch tweeted on Tuesday.

Touch also took to social media to highlight some of his achievements “Looking back at what we’ve built, Damn, TouchWarwick, Touch Perfumes, Touch Condoms, Touch Reserve,Touch Networks, Oh TV Channel on the way and Touch HD (Young Black, Bold, Brave, Balling and Benevolent) (sic),” – he said on Instagram.

Glen Lewis calls Tbo Touch a hypocrite

Touch HD and radio legend Glen Lewis have parted ways barely a year into a partnership that seeks to transform radio.

Touch HD founder and former Metro FM presenter Thabo “Tbo Touch” Molefe confirmed by saying “Yes, he is leaving. Bear in mind we are a year-old company that is in a new space, and I call it digital. In digital, we have to conduct surveys from our listeners.”

Touch wished Glen Lewis well after the legendary DJ announced his departure from Touch HD. He said “salute the Legend Glen Lewis Radios Hall Fame without a doubt. Your contribution to the industry is unsurpassed and I’m grateful to be counted amongst those who’ve shared the mic with you and this is just chapter 2 of our historical journey!”

However, Glen Lewis shared a different perspective, calling Tbo Touch a hypocrite and coward.

Rebecca Malope to host own show on Touch HD

Rebecca Malope joins Touch HD

Multi-award-winning South African gospel singer DR Rebecca Malope is set to host her own talk show at online radio station Touch HD.

As part of its new line up, the station announced that the new slot will include The Healing Zone, a new talk show hosted by the African Queen of Gospel Rebecca Malope on Thursdays from 12.30pm to 2pm.

“I am not a prophet but I am a host and a mother and this show will help people deal with issues they were not able to address. This will be a platform for people to talk about their experiences with abuse, drugs, money – it will allow prisoners to share why they found themselves where they are today. We want families to address matters,” Rebecca said.

Malope also says the show will play predominantly South African gospel music, there will be psychologists to help with issues and there will be a pastor at the end of the show to close off proceedings.
