Thuli Phongolo’s life after leaving Generations

Actress Thuli Phongolo has revealed that she’s got big plans to move her career forward after leaving Generations The Legacy. Thuli, who plays as Namhla Diale on SABC1 soapie, began her acting career when she landed the role of Zama on the third season of drama series “Tshisa”.

Speaking to Trending SA on SABC3, the star addressed the rumours that she was fired from Generations. She said she left the show after renewing her contract with Footwork, women’s shoe company.

“I wasn’t fired it’s more about the storyline, even last year when my contract was renewed, I was thinking of going but I was a bit scared, you never know what you gonna do next. So for me when the story came out, I felt like I had a great time you know since I’ve started deejaying, things have been going well, I’m gonna have my mixes on one of the stations here at home,” – she said.

Thuli also stated that there are many things that will keep her busy. She said since she has started Djing, things have been going well.

“I am going to have my mixes on one of the stations here and of course I have been working with (shoe brand) Footwork. There are upcoming roles where you will see me in a different light, not as a kid anymore, and I hope fans will like that and can relate”.

In terms of her next acting role, rumours have been making rounds that the star will be joining Mzansi Magic’s The Queen.
