South African comedian, writer, producer, political commentator, actor, and television host, Trevor Noah has launched the Trevor Noah Foundation.
The Trevor Noah Foundation is a non-profit organisation that equips orphans and vulnerable youth with the education, life skills, and social capital necessary to pursue further opportunity after graduating high school or matric.
Speaking at the press conference, Trevor said “Fundamentally it is an organisation that is initially going to focus primarily on education. Figuring out how to bridge the gap between a child and the education that we feel that they deserve.”

The foundation focuses on three priority areas: psycho-social support, skills development, and career guidance. By partnering with government schools, researching innovative approaches, and mobilizing philanthropic capital, The Trevor Noah foundation hopes to drive sustainable change that improves the lives of the most vulnerable youth in South Africa.
“Figuring out how to bridge the gap between educational institutions and the funding that we feel that they deserve. Figuring out how to bridge the gap between the education that learners get at the jobs that we feel that they deserve. Because all of these are pieces that need to work together, in order for us to move forward.”
Trevor, who is known for being the host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central since September 2015, is also back in the country to film new M-Net series called Nation Wild.
