Earlier this year, SABC 3 announced that it was looking for three fresh, new faces to join the channel on their popular lifestyle and entertainment shows Top Billing, The Expresso Morning Show and Afternoon Express. Auditions were held in Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. In an exciting new season, viewers at home will get an inside look at what went down at the auditions and the demanding challenges the budding presenters chosen undergo in a brand-new season of Presenter Search on 3.
Over 6000 people across the country turned up for the rigorous audition process and the first few episodes will give fans an insight into what went down in the audition room. Only 67 potential presenters were given a call-back and the rest of the season sees shocking cuts and thrilling challenges which will test their presenting skills and introduce them to the pressures of live TV in what promises to be the most exciting season of Presenter Search on 3 to date.
The new season sees Pabi Moloi take the reigns as host while judges Jeannie D, DJ Fresh, Sbusiso Kumalo and Patience Stevens put the contestants to the test with some daunting tasks which will determine if they have what it takes to become one of SABC 3’s new faces.

Presenter Search on 3 premieres this Thursday (10 May 2018) with an exciting look inside the Port Elizabeth auditions. The next episodes will highlight the highs and lows of the Cape Town auditions followed by the Durban auditions and, finally, the Johannesburg auditions before the Masterclass workshops truly put the contestants to the test.
The show has previously discovered some of the brightest stars on South African TV to date. Presenters like the late Simba Mhere (Top Billing), Jonathan Boynton-Lee (Top Billing), Zoë Brown (Expresso), Danilo Acquisto (Afternoon Express and Win a Home) and Jade Hübner (Top Billing) all started their careers in the Presenter Search on 3 audition line and have gone on to become household names.
