Terry Pheto in international movie, FACES

International award-winning South African actor, Terry Pheto, has been announced to star in a new international feature film titled FACES as a lead actor.

FACES will have its exclusive world premiere in South Africa at the 39th Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) this Sunday, 22 July 2018.

“It’s always great to work with incredible actors and talented film makers from all parts of the world. I don’t take it for granted what a privilege it is to grow my global footprint which such amazing story tellers. FACES is a movie that addresses universal issues that will resonate with all,” shares Terry Pheto.

FACES is a multi-narrative film set across four storylines that follow a group of characters as their lives begin to unravel. The feature film was shot in London and directed by the award-winning British-Nigerian director, Joseph a. Adesunloye.

Paxton Fielies is taking on Russia!

It has been quite the year for 17 year old, Cape Songbird Paxton Fielies. The 17 year-old winner of South African Idols Season 13, is heading to Russia to perform at the country’s biggest cultural event, The White Nights of St Petersburg.

The festival will broadcast across Russia on their public broadcasting channel, and will take place from 20 to 22 July.

In November 2017, she shot to stardom by winning South African Idols Season 13, followed by a manic touring schedule through to February 2018. March and April were spent working on, writing and recording her debut album, whilst maintaining her busy touring schedule. Mid roll out of her studio recording, she toured to Sweden for some charity and performance work, which saw her meeting, performing and being honoured by Queen Silvia of Sweden.

“I just fell, I don’t really know what made me fall” – Emtee says

Emtee SA collapses on stage

Rapper Emtee has broken his silence regarding his collapse during a performance this past weekend. A video footage of Emtee falling has been making rounds on social media.

The musician cleared the air and insisted that it was “just a fall” and there’s nothing more to it.

“I’m doing great. Absolutely fine. I just fell. The security was worried so they took me backstage. The stage was very small and I had to watch my step. It must’ve been a wire that made me fall because I wouldn’t have just fallen out of the blue.”

Emtee said he wasn’t phased by the comments around the incident, many involving drugs and alcohol claims.

Speaking to Zalebs, Emtee said: “I just fell, I don’t really know what made me fall, I just fell, and people around me came worried thinking that maybe something is wrong like no, I just fell and the show went on…”
