Black Friday comes early to Checkers with exclusive Xtra Savings sales promotion

Checkers Xtra Savings customers can look forward to Black Friday-like deals with discounts of up to 50% during the second annual Xtra Xtra Weekend, a sales promotion exclusively for Xtra Savings members.

Running from Friday 14 – Sunday 16 October 2022, Xtra Xtra Weekend is Checkers’ biggest sales event of the year with deep discounts on essential groceries including instant coffee, long-life milk, cheese, washing powder and nappies.

But the deals don’t stop there – shoppers can also expect savings on premium products such as airfryers, sparkling wine, butter, blueberries and more.

Some of the Xtra Xtra Weekend deals include:

  • Half a lamb for only R99 per kg;
  • 200g Douw Egberts Instant Coffee for R99 (R50 saving);
  • Lindt Lindor Chocolate Cornets – buy any two and get a third free (R120 saving);
  • 50% off any 2 x 500ml Sanex Shower Gel (R80 saving);
  • 30% off any 2 x Cape Point Gourmet Prawns;
  • Huggies Gold Jumbo Pack Disposable Nappies for R200 (R60 saving);
  • Finish Quantum Dishwashing Tablets 50s for R159 (R90 saving);
  • 20% off any 3 x Forage & Feast or Simple Truth products;
  • Philips Essential Airfryer XL for R2 299 (R700 saving).

More than 9 million shoppers have signed up for the Checkers Xtra Savings rewards programme since it launched in October 2019, and the members-only Xtra Xtra Weekend is just another way in which the supermarket is rewarding its loyal customers.

  • Scan the QR code on the back of your Xtra Savings card and sign-up online

  • Download the Checkers app from your app store
