This past weekend, hundreds of hopefuls woke up early and headed out to the DHL Newlands Rugby Stadium in Cape Town to showcase their presenting skills at the Presenter Search on 3 auditions.
Hosted by Pabi Moloi, the auditions allow every day South Africans the opportunity to make their dreams of being a TV presenter come true in an exciting reality TV format which tests their ability to showcase their best presenting skills while being put to the test in a variety of challenges.
Guest judges included presenters and media personalities; Tumi Voster, Graeme Richards, Khanya Siyengo, Sean-Marco Vorster, Spitch Nzawumbi, and Acting Brand Manager of SABC 3, Smangele Mauka. Former winners Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Danilo Acquisto made an appearance alongside Expresso presenters Katlego Maboe and Leigh-Anne Williams to cheer on fans and give tips on what judges were looking for in a presenter.
Presenter Search on 3 auditions kicked off in Port Elizabeth last month and saw hopefuls lining up in their numbers at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium while the Cape Town auditions were bigger and better than ever. The remaining audition dates are:
- Durban on Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th of April at the Durban Exhibition Centre.
- Johannesburg on Friday the 20th, Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd of April at Wanderers Cricket Stadium.
