Obakeng “DJ Buckz” Ramahali joins SABC1’s Stumbo Stomp Amapantsula

Obakeng Ramahali aka DJ Buckz has taken over the reins from Busiswa Gqulu who recently gave birth.

DJ Buckz told SunBuzz he is looking forward to a new chapter in his life as the new presenter of SABC1’s dance competition Stumbo Stomp Amapantsula.

“This is my first presenting job and I’m excited to be on a show I can relate to. I always deliver my best when I’m on set. Being part of the show made me realise that trying something new is not hard. You’ll never know what you’re capable of unless you try to do something new.” – he said.

The 28-year-old dancer and musician said that being on the show will open a lot of doors for him.

He said season 5 is packed with new pantsula dancers who are eager to show their talent and win cash prizes.

“Hard work pays off. I’m also a dancer, so I understand where these kids are coming from. I can relate to their desire to succeed.”

DJ Buckz said it is inspiring to see this season’s dancers investing a lot of effort in their outfits.

“Pantsula comes from the townships and is growing in popularity. People should tune in and support the dancers. The show will deliver fireworks, from the first episode to the final. Viewers are going to enjoy every moment.” – Buckz told the publication.

Last season’s winners, Soweto Junction Junior, are hoping to double their winnings. These hardcore pantsulas will be defending their title against Urban Mass and Thabang Pantsula.
