- STEP 3: Sign up using your email and create a password
- STEP 4: Choose a payment method to start your 14-day free trial
Please note that if you cancel within the 14-day free trial, you won’t be charged. After the 14-day trial is over, you’ll be charged R99 per month for the standard plan.
How do I add Showmax to my DStv account?
DStv customers can now add Showmax to their DStv account. Instead of paying separate monthly bills, Showmax can be added and be part of their monthly DStv bill. If you’re a DStv Premium subscriber, there’s no cost for Showmax once you’ve added it to your account. DStv Compact and Compact Plus subscribers get Showmax for R49.

- STEP 2: Navigate to Manage Account and click on Manage Subscription
- STEP 3: Select the standard plan
- STEP 4: Then choose “DStv add to account” as your payment method
- STEP 5: Enter your valid South African ID number
- STEP 6: Confirm your mobile phone number. You will receive a one-time pin (OTP) via SMS to verify your account
- STEP 7: Enter the OTP and accept the T&Cs.
Please note that one account can be connected with up to five devices.
