Moving to lower lockdown levels has meant a welcome revival of many things we were not able to do for some months. Hyde Park Corner has lots of new and exciting things happening including old favourites which have emerged with shiny new offerings and appearances, as well as some brand-new stores which will provide hours of retail relaxation with some fantastic sales and breath-taking imagery at a photographic exhibition!
Jo Malone has moved back into their beautifully refreshed store (on the Upper Mall level near entrance one) after taking up a temporary home within Hyde Park Corner whilst the store was revamped. At Jo Malone London they are proud of their heritage. Whether it’s picturesque villages, rolling hills, and windswept beaches, or the latest in art, culture and design, Jo Malone is inspired by the best of British. Scents synonymous with Britain: bluebells, King William pears, oak trees, and lavender, infuse their products and light up imaginations. Everything they do is shot through with a distinctive British wit, creative flair, and sense of charm and elegance – including their newly renovated Hyde Park Boutique, launching on Monday, 21 September – pop in for something quintessentially British, with a local flair.

Wilfrid Moulin’s photography exhibition is the focal point of Hyde Park Corner’s Centre Court this month. A self-taught photographer, French-born Wilfrid studied Archaeology and History of Art at the Sorbonne in Paris and has worked in Paris as a stills photographer for some of the most prestigious names in the fashion and beauty industry. In 1997, he decided to settle in South Africa and today he co-owns Metropolitain Cosmetics and Métro Haute Parfumerie. Photography remains an abiding passion which provides a creative outlet. Whimsical and poignant black and white images depict his travels across the globe, exceptional buildings, enticing table settings, people, and landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower. Wilfrid captures moments in black and white because he believes colour can distract from the emotion in the composition of the images. This collection of never seen before images – only 10 of each will be printed – can all be viewed until the end of September.
