Ladysmith Black Mambazo win a Grammy award

South African choral group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo have won their fifth Grammy award. The awards took place on Sunday, 28 January in New York and was hosted by James Corden.

They scooped the award for Best World Music Album, for their Shaka Zulu Revisited album. This is their fifth award.

The group was nominated in two categories: The Best World Music Album category for Shaka Zulu Revisited: 30th Anniversary Celebration, as well as in the Best Childrens Album category for Songs Of Peace & Love For Kids & Parents Around The World.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo took to Twitter where they shared the news.

“We won the Grammy award for Best World Music Album! Shaka Zulu Revisited. Our 5th Grammy award. Such an honour. Thank you Grammy awards. Thank you fans and friends. Thank you South Africa!” They tweeted.
