What attracted you to a show like Tropika Smoooth Fan?

What really attracted me to join Tropika Smoooth Fan this season was the fact that I would be able to get the chance to engage with my fans. It’s not every day we get to meet them and this was a wonderful opportunity to reach out to them while they battle it out to see who knows me best.

Why do you think it is important to recognize the fanbase who has been by your side throughout your career?

It’s simple – my fans make Letoya happen. It is very important to recognise my fanbase as they make the Letoya brand. Sure, I put a lot of work behind the brand to ensure that I deliver 100% but if I wouldn’t have had the support I do from them, I wouldn’t have had a career in entertainment.

Why do you think so many people around the country identify with you and your work?

I would like to think that so many people identify with my work because I am real. I am never trying to be someone or something that I am not and I think that my fans see and appreciate that.

What do you hope your fans get out of watching you on this week’s episode of Tropika Smoooth Fan?

My fans see me on TV but sometimes they do not get to understand the real Letoya. Being on Tropika Smoooth Fan will be a great opportunity to get to know the real Letoya. Fans at home will get to know me better and I am really excited about that.

What was the biggest lesson your fans taught you about your career?

My fans keep me in check – and that’s something I am so grateful I have them for. They remind me that my career can be over in an instant so I always have stay relevant and be on top on my game.

What’s can fans expect from you in the coming months?

Besides some more great television, I am also going to be releasing some brand-new music under my new company Makhene M Productions. It’s something I am really excited to get out into the world.

Can you share something with us that media and fans might not know/might be surprised to learn/know about you?

I am such a good cook! I don’t mean to brag but my food is amazing. It’s something I am very passionate about as well.

Can you share an instance where a fan has changed your life in some way?

I wouldn’t say I have had one particular moment but I think just the positive feedback I get from fans and the reminder that I have so much influence inspires me. I try to be the best role model for my fans – just like they are my best role models.
