Taking to her Instagram account on Tuesday, Zodwa Wabantu posted a photo of the coffin she bought saying that she doesn’t want people to say when she died that she was famous but didn’t make sure there was enough money to bury her.

“Death. Black Society is Scared to talk about Death. My Coffin ⚰ is 150k. Are you ready or your Family is still gonna Run around? I don’t want Zodwa Wabantu was Famous now there’s no Money to Bury her” – the Vosho Queen captioned her photo.

Wabantu also posted a video on her Instagram. Zodwa can be seen in the video getting into the coffin to see if she fits properly. “Silence, have a beautiful week ahead guys” – she captioned another photo.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Wabantu explained the reason behind ‘coffin shopping spree’. She told the publication that she buried her mom with the cheapest coffin. She was told she would end up like her, so she’s proving people wrong.

“When we buried my mother, it was a sad affair. She was buried in a cheap coffin and her funeral came together on things that were patched together. People always told me that I would never amount to much and would suffer the same fate, so I’ve been living my whole life trying to prove them wrong,” Zodwa said.

Wabantu also said that the coffin is probably between R50 and R70k. The rest of the money went towards the executive package, which includes the cars and other services.
