Mzansi Magic has announced that it has cancelled Isithembiso, a South African soap opera created and produced by The Bomb Shelter.
Isithembiso follows the lives of two young people who come to the City of Gold (Johannesburg) in search of not just their fortune, but familial ties, opportunity and education.

The publication received confirmation from one of Bomb Productions executives, Angus Gibson.
“Yes, I can confirm that the current season will not be renewed for further seasons. Viewers can expect memorable storytelling in these remaining six months.”
According to ZAlebs, Isithembiso was competing with another soapie, etv’s Scandal!, which has a viewership of 6 million. These two South African dramas occupied the 7:30pm slot.
