Nasty C wins Best Male Southern Africa artist award at the 2018 AFRIMMA

Local hip-hop artist Nasty C, born Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, who is also known as The Coolest Kid in Africa, walked away with the Best Male Southern Africa artist award at the 2018 AFRIMMA (All Africa Music Awards).

The 5th edition of the AFRIMMA Awards and Music festival was held on Sunday, October 7 in Dallas, Texas, United States in honour of the dedicated work of African artists.

The event was established by the International Committee AFRIMA, in collaboration with the African Union to reward and celebrate musical works, talents and creativity around the African continent while promoting the African cultural heritage.

The 21-year-old rapper was nominated in the categories for the Best Male Southern Africa, Artist of the Year, Best Rap Act, Best Collaboration, and Song of the Year.

Nasty C is also best known for hits like “Juice Back”, “Jump” (featuring Cassper Nyovest) as well as international collaborations with the likes of Major lazer, Jidenna and Ice Prince on the song “Particula”.

The rapper is currently on tour across Southern Africa. His next Ivyson Tour will be held on the 20th October 2018, at Melrose Arch Piazza, Melrose Boulevard, Melrose, Johannesburg..

Big names such as Gemini Major, Tellaman. A-Reece, Major Leagues DJZ, Boity Thulo and PH will be also join him on his tour.

Taking to social media, the talented rapper said: ““GOD and MY FANS This tour brings me nothing but good energy (sic).”
