SRD Grant is paid to South African citizens or permanent residents, who have insufficient means and meet certain criteria.
The SRD grant is administered by the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) and the R350 SRD grant is paid after permanent social grants.

Here’s What You Should Do About ‘Reapplication Pending’ SRD Status
- Step 1: Go to srd.sassa.gov.za to apply online
- Step 2: Search for the ‘Reconsideration status check: May 2020 to March 2022’ tab.
- Step 3: Click on where it says ‘click here to check reconsideration status’.
- Step 4: You will be asked to provide your ID number and Mobile number and click ‘Send PIN’
- Step 5: Follow the prompts to complete the reconsideration of your payment.
Please note reconsideration processing for the period May 2020 to March 2022 has been completed and no new applications will be considered for this period.
