The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced the SASSA grants payment dates for May 2023. The SASSA Payments Dates For help you know when your SASSA Grant will be paid for May. Sassa distributes grants to vulnerable South Africans who are struggling to make ends meet. The grants include the R350 SRD Grant, Older Person Grant, the Disability Grant, and the Child Support Grant.

- Older Persons Grant – Thursday, 4 May 2023
- Disability Grant – Friday, 5 May 2023
- Children’s Grants – Monday, 8 May 2023
R350 Sassa Payment Dates For May 2023
Sassa will begin paying permanent grants from Thursday, 4 May 2023. Thursday, 4 May 2023 to Monday 8 May is reserved for the payment of old age, disability and child grants. The rest of the month is dedicated to the payment of R350 SRD grants.
There is no fixed payment date for those who receive their Sassa R350 SRD grant payments through the bank account.
Beneficiaries can receive their Sassa grant payments through CashSend, directly into their bank account or their Sassa card.
R350 Sassa Payments can be collected at selected supermarkets such as Shoprite, Checkers, USave, Boxer and Pick n Pay stores.
Sassa Beneficiaries are urged to wait for an SMS to say that they can collect their R350 grant and should not head out to collect it if they haven’t received an SMS.
SASSA confirmed, “there is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.”
