SASSA Payment Dates for October 2021
The SASSA grant payment dates for October 2021 are:
- Older Person’s Grants: Tuesday, 5 October 2021 (this includes any grants linked to these accounts)
- Disability Grants: Wednesday, 6 October 2021 (this includes any grants linked to these accounts)
- Foster Care Grants: Thursday, 7 October 2021
- Care Dependency Grants: Thursday, 7 October 2021
- Child Support Grants: Thursday, 7 October 2021
Regarding the SASSA payments date, the South African Social Security Agency also confirmed the dates on social media, writing “Updated October 2021 normal grant payments. Please note that COVID-19 SRD grant payments are not done on these dates. Older Person’s Grants will be paid from 05 October 2021, the Disability Grants will be paid from 06 October 2021 and all other grants will be paid from 07 October 2021”.
The grant amounts that SASSA beneficiaries in South Africa will receive are now as follows:
- Old age and disability grants – R1 890
- Persons over the age of 75 and war veterans – R1 910
- Foster care – R1 050
- Care dependency – R1 890
- Child support will increase – R460
SASSA Grant Payment Dates for R350
Here is when you can collect your approved R350 grant from a post office (based on ID numbers):
- 080 — Tuesday October 12, 19 and 26
- 081 — Wednesday October 13, 20 and 27
- 082 — Thursday October 14, 21 and 28
- 083 — Friday October 1, 15, 22 and 29
- 084 — Monday October 11, 18 and 25
- 085 — Tuesday October 12, 19 and 26
- 086 — Wednesday October 13, 20 and 27
- 087 — Thursday October 14, 21 and 28
- 088 — Friday October 1, 15, 22 and 29
- 089 — Monday October 11, 18 and 25
These SASSA payment dates are applicable to the post office payout system. SASSA R350 beneficiaries can receive their grants as soon as they receive confirmation of payment from SASSA.
According to careersportal.co.za, beneficiaries are urged to wait for an SMS to say that they can collect their R350 grant and should not head out to collect it if they haven’t received an SMS.
SASSA confirmed, “there is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.”
