Do I need to reapply for R350 grant? No. Sassa has announced that those who receive government’s R350 social relief of distress (SRD) grant do not need to reapply in April.
The R350 grant was introduced to assist unemployed and vulnerable citizens who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and was supposed to come to an end in March 2023. Last year the grant was extended to March 2024.
“Beneficiaries of the COVID-19 SRD need not worry about reapplying for the grant in April 2023”
“The grant will continue as normal, those who previously applied for the grant do not need to reapply,” – said Sassa.
Sassa further said that every month, your application will be checked to verify if you still qualify for the grant.
