Real race transponders were used in order to gain accurate lap times during this segment while the track temperature later in the day rose to a sweltering 37 degrees! A few years back, Chris Harris was the first journalist to bring together, on a single racetrack, the three fastest hypercars of the modern era: of McLaren P1, LaFerrari and Porsche 918. That track, specifically, was Portimão, on Portugal’s Algarve coast. The fastest of the trio, in Harris’s annoyingly able mitts, was the McLaren.
