Earlier this year, it was Sunday Sun reported that Khanya Mkangisa who plays Akhona in The Queen Mzansi was arrested and spent a night in jail after a high-speed chase incident in Johannesburg.

According to the paper, Khanya Mkhangisa was arrested after she bumped into BMW belonging to Katlego Mphuthi who also stays at the same complex as The Queen actress. Katlego pressed charges of failing to stop after an accident and Khanya was was tracked down by police.

Shortly after that, Khanya set the record straight in a radio interview. Speaking to Mo Flava and Pearl Shongwe on Metro FM’s “The Drive” the 30-year-old actress confirmed the arrest but denied being involved in a hit and run.

“I was definitely not involved in a hit and run. I don’t know how this story was blown way out of proportion. I was in my complex…parking in my parking bay, I hit the car that parks next to me, left my details, so it wasn’t really a dramatic situation …It was a little scratch” – she said.

“It became a whole thing, unnecessarily. I can’t really go into detail because of the arrest and all the other things they were saying about it. But, basically, there is no case. Naturally. How is there going to be a case? Have you never hit someone’s car by mistake?”

As reported by ZAlebs, Khanya Mkangisa was reportedly arrested on an undisclosed date and there is a video making rounds on social media.

A Twitter user by the name of Nay Moatshe shared the video on Twitter and captioned: “Khanya Mkangisa 😱😱 I didn’t know she’s this rude bathong. Anyway we lose our loved ones in car accidents due to people who drink and drive. This must really stop 🛑(sic).”

Khanya is yet to comment on the video. Check out the video below:
