“Sassa Reapplication Pending means your application has not yet been approved, your details still need to be screened and verified first. Once approved, you will receive an SMS from SASSA requesting your banking details, then you will be paid.” – Sassa said

What To Do About Sassa Reapplication Pending R350 Grant Status
If you receive the Sassa Reapplication Pending message, you should submit a SRD grant application or reapplication. If you didn’t know how to reapply for the R350 social relief of distress (SRD) grant, we’ll show you all the steps you need to follow. You need toย submit your R350 grant application using the SRD website – srd.sassa.gov.za.
Here’s how to apply:
- Step 1: Go to the SASSA SRD Website to apply online: https://srd.sassa.gov.za
- Step 2: Search for the ‘Application for Reconsideration’ tab.
- Step 3: Click on where it says โclick here to apply for reconsiderationโ.
- Step 4: You will be asked to provide your ID number and Mobile number.
- Step 5: Follow the prompts to complete the reconsideration of your payment.
SASSA reconsideration system is an automatic way for those SRD applicants who have been declined for the SRD R350 to appeal.
“If your application was declined for any period and you had zero income in the preceding month, you may submit an application for reconsideration” – Sassa said on their SRD website
Sassa has also said that for an applicant to access or to have their application reconsidered for the Social Relief of Distress Grant, they mustย grant consent for Sassa to verify their identity, residency, income, or social security benefits.
R350 grant applicants are urged to accept the declaration and consent as well.
The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD Grant) is meant for South African Citizens, Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Special Permit Holders who are between the ages of 18 and 60 years, who have insufficient means, who do not receive social grants on behalf of herself/ himself or who are not contributing to or eligible for UIF payment, and have no financial support from any other source.
You only have to apply once via this website https://srd.sassa.gov.za/ or the WhatsApp number and not many times on every channel. SASSA will only process one application received from each applicant. Once your application has been successfully submitted, confirmation will be sent to you.
