AKA doesn’t want fans to vote for him in the SAMAs

With just a few left before the South African Music Awards (SAMAs), rapper AKA has told his fans not to vote for him in this year’s SAMAs.

“Hi guys. Please don’t waste any of your money voting for me with ANY of my recent SAMA nominations. We’ll concentrate our efforts on the awards next year maybe (sic)” – AKA tweeted.

The rapper went on to clarify that he will appreciate the votes next year.

“Next year we’ll go hard for the awards since it’s the last one. Then we can all be happy and ride off into the sunset.”

“As much as I appreciate the acknowledgement … “The World is Yours” has been nominated for instance … I think I have already won the award for making that timeless record. It will live in your hearts forever, until you die. That’s enough for me (sic).”

“I really really do appreciate the nominations and acknowledgement … I don’t take it for granted…I just feel like I’ve already been rewarded and awarded for my work (sic)” – AKA concluded.

The Samas 2018 award ceremony takes place in Sun City on 2 June.
