Episode 1231 – Monday 2 January 2023

Shria is suspicious of how Maharaj managed to get the loan and arrange jobs for the retrenched staff. Lindiwe feels guilty that Kwezi is having such a horrible holiday. She considers pulling out of the show, but it’s too late. Buhle gets drunk at Emsamo and abuses Fikile, pouring a drink over her head.

Episode 1232 – Tuesday 3 January 2023

Khemisi makes sure that Ngcolosi directs all his anger about Maharaj to MaZulu and not Khemisi. Mzwandile wants to resume lobolo negotiations for Khanyo. Themba refuses to give Kwezi back to Lindiwe until she’s cleaned up her act.

Maharaj’s money lender “friend” is the same person he betrayed not so long ago.

Episode 1233 – Wednesday 4 January 2023

Maharaj and Shria are on top of the world as everything goes their way. Zakithi worries about her job security and remembers better days with Zithulele who is getting along with Nokuzola. Meanwhile, MaZulu runs out of options and makes a big decision.

Episode 1234 – Thursday 5 January 2023

Everyone is reeling from news of a potential divorce between MaZulu and Ngcolosi. Sebenzile finally agrees to marry Phakade. Lindiwe is stunned when Themba serves her with custody papers.

Episode 1235 – Friday 6 January 2023

Mzwandile thinks Sebenzile is going to be a threat to his relationship and makes a mysterious call to someone about this. Phunyuka sees that Ngcolosi is not as thrilled about the idea of divorcing MaZulu as he makes out, but Khemisi stokes the fires.

Episode 1236 – Monday 9 January 2023

Sebenzile pays a visit to KaMadonsela’s Gobela. Gobela throws her bones and discovers that Mzwandile has put a spell on both Khanyo and Phakade. MaZulu serves Zimele with divorce papers and wants everything.

Episode 1237 – Tuesday 10 January 2023

There is a flash of sexual tension between them when Zimele confronts MaZulu, who is undeterred about her divorce summons. Maharaj puts pressure on Zakithi to find out what’s happening with Zimele and tells Zimele that Maluju is no longer a Bhengu playground.

Episode 1238 – Wednesday 11 January 2023

A fuming Zimele demands to know why MaZulu sold Maharaj her shares, and a confused MaZulu denies ever doing this. Sebenzile confesses to Phakade about what the gobela said regarding Mzwandile, and he is upset.

Episode 1239 – Thursday 12 January 2023

Maharaj and Shria are unshaken when the Bhengu’s accuse them of foul play. Nirupa is shocked to discover that Shria has been gifted shares belonging to MaZulu. Phakade refuses to believe he is bewitched.

Episode 1240 – Friday 13 January 2023

MaZulu tells Zimele to sign the divorce papers. Lindiwe has a search party out looking for Kwezi, but she refuses to notify Themba that Kwezi is missing. Gobela says Mzwandile is not resting and is also targeting Sebenzile because she’s been hostile towards him.

Episode 1241 – Monday 16 January 2023

Lindiwe is shaken when Themba tells her he is going for full custody. Maharaj tries to keep in Nirupa’s good books. Zimele has to consider his moves with MaZulu, and Phakade finally stands firmly with Sebenzile in the face of MaZulu.

Episode 1242 – Tuesday 17 January 2023

MaZulu is determined to get her shares back. Zakithi denies knowing anything about the issue. Phakade realises that he has been duped by Mzwandile, and feels like a fool. He and Sebenzile agree to trick Khanyo into going to the gobela to get cleansed.

Episode 1243 – Wednesday 18 January 2023

When Khanyo tries to leave, the family are forced to tie her up and lock her in her room. Later, they break the news that Mzwandile has fed her a love potion, but Khanyo won’t believe them.

Lindiwe makes a bad impression on the social worker and decides to resign as manager at Emsamo to focus on being a better mom.

Episode 1244 – Thursday 19 January 2023

Mzwandile and Phakade get into a fight. The family realise they need to take Khanyo to the gobela immediately. MaZulu has a run in with Maharaj and demands he provide proof she sold him her shares. Instead, gets the shock of her life when Maharaj reveals what he can use against her.

Episode 1245 – Friday 20 January 2023

Zimele is determined to find Maharaj’s weakness. He is concerned when MaZulu arrives home looking distraught and he hears her throwing up in her room.

Kwezi is thrilled to have both her parents back in her life and to move to Durban to be with them both, and a new respect is formed between Themba and Lindiwe. There’s even a hint of attraction between them.

Episode 1246 – Monday 23 January 2023

Zithulele worries about what’s going on between Zimele and maZulu, and while Khemisi badmouths maZulu, Zimele and Nkululeko are sure Maharaj drugged her to get his hands on the shares. Khanyo faces off with Mzwandile.

MaNdlovu wants to talk to Phakade about how to stop Zimele and MaZulu’s divorce, but he is more concerned about getting rid of the body on his land. Maharaj offers to bribe Jason for intel on MaZulu. Phakade’s family learns from an unsuspecting source that Mzwandile has kidnapped Khanyo.

Episode 1248 – Wednesday 25 January 2023

Mzwandile has held Khanyo in a shack somewhere, and he tries to convince Khanyo that her family has given her isichitho so that she loathes him. Nkululeko reveals to Zimele that he knows how Maharaj got MaZulu to sell her shares.

Episode 1249 – Thursday 26 January 2023

Most of the Bhengu’s find out about MaZulu’s fake sex tape. Surprisingly, Zimele defends MaZulu’s honour and brawls with Maharaj. Nomusa wants to have Thu Sheleni’s baby but he’s not ready. In uMbumbulu, Mzwandile pulls a knife on Khanyo and cuts her loose.

Episode 1250 – Friday 27 January 2023

The brawl between Maharaj and Zimele leaves both men bruised, physically and emotionally. MaZulu sees the fight video, she is confused but grateful for Zimele and Nkululeko. Khanyo returns home unharmed and Phakade is relieved.

Episode 1251 – Monday 30 January 2023

Zimele is furious when a damaging article surfaces about him faking his own death, and he confronts Phakade about it. MaZulu is brutally honest about what she’ll do to Zimele if he doesn’t sign the papers.

Episode 1252 – Tuesday 31 January 2023

MaZulu and Zimele are both hiding the fact that they are torn about their pending divorce. Phakade and Zimele both get visits from the police regarding the article. Khemisi makes a run for it and Nomusa attempts to trick Thu Sheleni into having a baby with her.
