Nkosindiphile Nkosi proved he was Khanyi Mbau’s smooothest fan on SABC 1’s exciting new celebrity quiz show Tropika Smoooth Fan last week and this week, Mo’ghel Bonang Matheba is set to find her biggest fan as four contestants are put to the test to see how well they really know Queen B*.

Bonang Matheba has cemented her spot as one of the most popular celebrities to have ever come out of South Africa. The TV presenter started her career as the host of SABC 1’s popular music show ‘Live’ before venturing into radio as a presenter on youth station YFM.  Since then, Bonang’s career has flourished. She has launched multiple fashion lines, became a presenter on Top Billing, hosted a popular radio show on Metro FM, hosted numerous television shows and MC gigs and even appeared in her very own reality show.

Bonang Matheba has become an epitome of class and sophistication and continues to build an empire with her various projects and endorsement deals. Bonang is proof that hard work, being unapologetic and always pushing herself to the limit has affirmed that anything is possible.

Thembi Mkhumbene AKA Dj Miss T SA is an independent first kwaito female DJ born January 22nd in Tokoza (Ekurhuleni).

Her dress-code is Mathanda kitchen, Samson Overall and all-star sneakers. They said Kwaito music is dead but Dj Miss T would disagree. The first kwaito DJ who tattooed Kwaito Diva on her left hand is not a stranger to entertainment venues. This kwaito Dj is about to release her Kwaito EP/Album titled “Ezase Kasi Lami”.

She has been a kwaito fan since she was young and she started her music career 2016 and she is attracting a large number of audience in the short time she has started and she already shared the stage with the likes of Mandla Spikiri, Mapaputsi , Skhokho , 2.5, Mshoza , Drencko, DJ Jucka , DJ Kaygee, Amon , Blorie Da Jam , DJ Sweetment, Toffolux Wabolova , Nomtha WA Kwaito and Stena DJ Bee just to mention a few. She has played in & outside South Africa in places like Caprivi, Justice Place, Lemba Café, Voltage Lounge, Barrels Place, Ha Pita (Lesotho/Maseru), MT Lounge, Boiketlong Pub.

She was also a nominee at the 2017 edition of the Mzansi Kwaito House Music Awards as the best Kwaito DJ Amongst the best DJ’s on the Best Kwaito DJ category which she unfortunately didn’t win but is back once again to prove her nomination wasn’t a fluke by winning the Best Kwaito DJ category.

DJ Miss T SA is also representing SA at Southern Africa Music Festival alongside with DJ Melody, Dj Shiks and Dj Sweetment who was also a 2017 Kwaito House Music Award Best Kwaito DJ Nominee. S.A.M.F movement also has Mr. Brown from Mozambique, Abuti from Lesotho, Jonico Kobela from Tembisa and other artists from Botswana, Swaziland, Zambia and Nigeria. Speaking about SAMF Dj Miss T was on a tour to Swaziland in March 25th, Mozambique in June, Botswana in September, Ethiopia after and Lesotho once again in December.

Lalla Hirayama Opens Up About Clover Krush’s Mission

When the 2019 school year kicks off, 20 000 children across South Africa will receive a brand new pair of school shoes to better equip them for the school year ahead. This is all part of the #KrushGoodness project by Clover Krush – a brand synonymous with spreading goodness.

Now in its second year, the #KrushGoodness project is calling upon South Africans to nominate schools whose children are most in need of school shoes. Nominations are now open and can be made by following the on-pack instructions on promotional Krush products. Krush will go through all nominations and by December 2018, 20 schools from provinces across SA will be selected. These schools will then be visited in the new year where 20 000 scholars will receive their brand new school shoes. Lalla Hirayama is one of the familiar faces who is involved with the project – now for the second year running.

What drew you to participate in Clover Krush’s school shoe donation campaign?

I’m lucky to say that this is my second time being part of the Clover Krush Goodness Krew! It’s a real honour! In 2018 upon launching the project, Krush set out to show that adding a little bit of goodness every day has the power to change the world for the better. If we start our day with one good deed, it has the power to transform someone’s day, leading to them adding a bit of goodness to someone else’s day, and so the goodness spreads, ultimately inspiring a world of goodness.

They say ‘the heart that gives, gathers’ and to be honest this is one of the most fulfilling things I’ve been given the opportunity to do.

What, for you, is the biggest importance of helping our communities and children in particular?

Children are our most valuable resources.  They are not things to be moulded but people to be unfolded. Many of our children are victims of injustice and aren’t able to fight for what should already be theirs. Love, education, food, clothing, warmth and educational resources as well as health resources are not always readily available. These are our future leaders and work force, what will become of our country will ultimately rest on them.
