Nasty C and Babes Wodumo nominated for MTV EMA

Babes Wodumo hails from Durban, South Africa and is not only an award-winning songstress but dancer. The release of her smash hit single “Wololo” featuring Mampintsha in 2016 launched her into mainstream success. The last time Gqom Queen, Babes Wodumo was up for an international award, she missed the ceremony due to a Visa mess up but now that she has enough of a heads up about her MTV EMA nomination.

Babes Wodumo and Nasty C have been nominated in the Best African Act alongside Angola’s C4 Pedro, Nigeria’s DaVido and WizKid and Kenya’s Nyashinski at the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA).

David ”Nasty C” Ngcobo was born in Durban, South Africa. He started rapping at the age of nine and soared to fame with the release of ”Juice Back” in 2015.

The main ceremony will be broadcast live from London’s SSE Arena on Sunday 12 November at 22:00 on both MTV (DSTV Channel 130) and MTV Base (DSTV Channel 322) bright and early in the AMs and then again later that evening.
