Celebrity and role model Nomzamo Mbatha took to Instagram today to launch her #DoYou Passion Project to inspire young women to become confident, motivated, and uncompromising in every aspect of their lives. This is a follow up to her Instagram story shared last week for International Women’s Day, which spoke about her personal #DoYou journey.
Mentors and role models, who play a big part in Nomzamo’s life story, are a key theme of the campaign and in her Instagram post today she looks directly into the camera and says: “Every young woman deserves someone who is going to be believe in her and blow the wind beneath her wings just a little harder.”
Then she calls on young women to post videos about the impact role models and mentors have had on their individual journeys to #DoYou.
“I’ve told you my #DoYou story now I want to hear from you, and you could stand a chance of spending a day with me,” she explains. “Post a video on Instagram and tag @PUMASouthAfrica hashtag #DoYouStories. Now go, what are you waiting for?”
Nomzamo is an ambassador for PUMA and her Passion Project is part of the global sports brand’s international #DoYou campaign launched on International Woman’s Day, with activations by inspirational women taking place around the world.The local campaign is set toroll out in August for South Africa’s Women’s Month.
“Our stories are not the same, but I definitely believe that they are similar, in that we have all faced many hurdles in life, but our common thread as human beings is that we keep overcoming,” she says.
