Actor, Mpho Sebeng Has Passed Away At The Age Of 30

South Africa’s entertainment industry is mourning the loss of talented actor Mpho Sebeng, who passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 30. According to the media personality Zola Hashatsi’s X post, Mpho died of an accident.

“It is with a sad, deep, painful heart to announce the passing of a young brother, friend I took in to replace us when we exited @craze_tv, a thespian that was @mpho_sebeng he was in car accident this morning around Klerksdorp, this one hurts and I’m not okay.

“His star was only beginning to shine. What a loss. He was only 30 years young. I’ll send more info, as times go, will be with the family this week. Please note I note I’m not taking any calls,” wrote Zola.

Born on 1st December 1993, Mpho Sebeng was a rising star, known for his captivating performances in the following; Ring of Lies (2016), Collision (2022) and The Jakes Are Missing (2015). His charisma and talent earned him a dedicated following and the respect of his peers.

Mpho Sebeng was a renowned South African actor, gained prominence through his television portrayals, notably as Siso Ledwaba in Zero Tolerance (2001-2006) and as Slay in Soul Buddyz in 2011.

Born in Soweto and raised in Witpoortie, Randburg, Mpho is the eldest in his family and graduated from West Ridge High in 2011. His journey into acting began at the age of 12 when he caught the eye of his mother’s friend during a school production, who encouraged him to pursue acting. He later secured significant roles in Justice for All, Zero Tolerance, and Bay of Plenty.

Mpho’s entry into Soul Buddyz came after successfully auditioning for the role of gang leader Slay. Additionally, he portrayed Tsietsi Mashini in the 2011 film Winnie, cherishing the experience of meeting Jennifer Hudson on set.
