Taking to Instagram to make the announce, Penny Penny posted a flyer of the company trading as Penny Penny Funeral Cover. According to the flyer, people who buy his funeral plan will get benefits such as a tombstone, cows, groceries, airtime and a free tent.

Speaking to The Juice, Papa Penny’s nephew Laas, who is reportedly a partner in the company, said this is one of the many ways Penny Penny has chosen to give back to his community.

“He is serving people in his community. He has been using his salary to feed people. So he thought about this business and came up with a cheaper [funeral] policy.”

The policies are underwritten by 3Sixty Life, a black-owned insurance company established in 1993 and also provides policies to Doves funeral company.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE Papa Penny said: “I am a people’s person and want to help disadvantaged people that couldn’t afford funeral costs. The premiums are expensive so I wanted to introduce a policy at a cheaper price.”
