PUMA’s women’s range for the season, En Pointe, drops in new colourways and exciting new styles this month. Inspired by freedom of movement and the art of ballet, this range is worn by global superstar Selena Gomez and, on the local front, TV celebrity and PUMA ambassador Nomzamo Mbatha.

PUMA has built the En Pointe collection for confident women to compliment all aspects of the hustler lifestyle; and because looking good, feels good, the collection offers a variety of stylish pieces to play with. As a follow on from the first drop in January, which featured ever coveted millennial pink and an array of soft pastels, drop 2 of En Pointe is hitting stores this March, featuring soft colours in white and rock ridge grey colourways.

As the ultimate fashion icon, Selena Gomez is theideal representation of the line – her flexible style takesher from the gym to the red carpet and to all corners ofthe globe and her fearlessness is reflected onto thecollection with bold, statement pieces that commandattention. Never boring, never the same and always onpoint.

PUMA ambassador, actress, singer and producer Selena Gomez said: “I feel confident. I feel empowered. I feel in control. I am brave. Yes, I might not be perfect, but I’m always ME. No masks, not filters, just Selena Gomez.”

THE INSPIRATION

The PUMA En Pointe collection was born out of a conversation between PUMA’s design teams and the dancers of New York City Ballet. They met to discuss the concept of movement and what a dancer needs to be at their best through long hours of rehearsals. This collection showcases linear elements, wide strapping, and woven details pulled from ballet technique: long lines, dynamic flexibility, and powerful movement.

Structure is created through pleating, rib textures, and buoyant fabrics. Metal details mix with shine and sporty trims to emphasise motion. Tonal is a must and lightweight iseverything. It’s less about changing outfits and more about layering; adding and subtracting items to keep muscles warm between dancing. Dancers must constantly strive to perfect their performance – therefore, showing off long lines is key, muted colours work best, and patterns are avoided because they distract from muscle definition.

“We are not only dancers, we are athletes. We train countless hours a week and we needthe right products to perform. We have togive it our all in training before we go onstage to shine,” says Unity Phelan,NYCB soloist.

Key items in the collection are the En Pointe Logo Bra, En Pointe Q2 Tights, SL Half Zip Top, Cropped Tee, Ankle Length Skirt, Bodysuit and the Ignite Flash EvoKNIT, En Pointe Phenom, En Pointe Phenom Low and En Pointe Museshoes.

Because you were born to create movement, the items within the collection offer stability, range of motion, support and traction without compromising fit, your agility and comfort.

The En Pointe Drop 2 Collection is in-store from 15th March in PUMA and selected stores nationwide.
