Acer announces Adrenaline-Pumping CS: GO Tournament, #PredatorSlam

One of South Africa’s most renowned esports team, Goliath Gaming, teamed up with another giant in the gaming product universe Acer and Predator during a Counter-Strike and FIFA competition that took place in Dubai earlier this year. While competing, the team gained invaluable experience, backed by the absolute best in Predator’s gaming products.

“When the team from Goliath Gaming wanted to collaborate again, the synergies were too great not to leverage. Part of this new collaboration is in the form of a CS:GO tournament which will see some of South Africa’s most talented gamers come together to compete for the winners’ title and we really are fortunate to see these gaming enthusiasts grow in prowess. We are also keen to see the growth of the esports fraternity through this tournament,” said Belinda Marais, Marketing Manager at Acer South Africa

“The support provided by Acer and Predator during our time in Dubai was immeasurable. It is so comforting to work with a brand that shares the same vision as us – more so when it’s one of the most trusted brands in gaming,” adds Michele Brondani, co-founder and FIFA team manager at Goliath Gaming.

This was the beginning of an exciting partnership, with both brands expressing their enthusiasm to take the experience to the next level.

The Predator Winter Slam Tournament

The tournament, hosted by Gamedock, will see South Africa’s top CS:GO gaming teams battle it out to win their share of the R15,000 prize pool and to win the title of the first-ever Predator Winter Slam champion!

The teams will need to take part in one of the two qualifying events, with 32 spots available in each, and only two winners will be selected from each pool. Those qualifying teams will then go up against the top four CS:GO teams in South Africa who have been invited to the main event.

Over the weekend of 27 and 28 June, these eight teams will compete in a round-robin event to determine who will battle it out in the single-elimination playoff bracket and be crowned the first Predator Winter Slam champion. All the action will be broadcasted and presented by Gamedock on 27 and 28 June, live on www.twitch.tv/gamedock.

Registration for the Predator Winter Slam is now open and more information can be found on:
